Find the 1×1 from a major low
A Gann fan hanging from the low, with its 1×1 through the high you chose.

Before you start
- Open Studio and type BTCUSDT in the symbol box. Pick W (weekly) as the interval.
- Find the low you'll count from. A turn the market clearly respected makes a better anchor than one you have to squint at.
Steps
- 1⌥1Lock price to time. The top bar shows the scale it settles on, such as $754 a week; the 1×1 now stays at 45° however you zoom.
- 2⌥STurn on the magnet, so your clicks snap to the bar's high or low rather than near it.
- 3⌥GPick the Gann fan. It's on the rail, in the Gann group.
- 4Click the major low. Before you click, the fan follows the pointer, so you can see where it will hang.
- 5Click a high the 1×1 should pass through. The fan is drawn, and the heavy ray is the 1×1.
- 6Click the fan to select it: its bar and Properties change the scale and which angles show.
⌥ is Alt on Windows and Linux.
Reading it
The 1×1 rises one unit of price for each unit of time, at the scale your two clicks set. Every other ray is a multiple of it: 1×2 and 1×4 below, 2×1 and 4×1 above.
The fan's bar offers 2 points (the default: the pivot, then a point the 1×1 passes through) and 1 click, which hangs the fan from the pivot at the locked scale.
Where price meets a ray is a place to look, not a forecast. Our tests of Gann angles on Bitcoin found no edge over chance, so check any fan on your own market before relying on it.
