Before you start
- Open Studio on the market you want, on any interval.
Steps
- 1Open Display in the top bar and choose Square of 9 wheel. It opens over the chart's lower left, hung from the last price.
- 2Press + in the wheel's header to make it larger, or − to shrink it. Drag the header or the hub to move it.
- 3Press ⌖ snap to lay today's price on the 0° arm. Each arm now reads a level a turn of the square from it.
- 4Press ≡ levels to draw the arms' prices across the chart as dashed lines, beside the ticks on the price axis.
- 5Read the line under the wheel: the price, the date, the price's angle on the wheel and the scale the wheel uses.
⌥ is Alt on Windows and Linux.
Reading it
Gold arms form the cardinal cross (0°, 90°, 180°, 270°) and the others the diagonals. Moving out one ring is a full turn, which adds 2 to the price's square root.
To hang the wheel from a high or low instead of today's price, press ◎ pivot and click the bar. Drag the rim to turn the wheel by hand; arrow keys turn it too, with Shift for 15°.
▦ swaps the wheel for Gann's numbered grid. The wheel is free on every plan.
The levels are arithmetic on the square root, not a forecast. Our test of the Square of 9 on Bitcoin found no edge over chance.
